SLOVENIA-THE BACA RIVER

The Bača river winds for 21.4 km through the narrow valley of Baška Grapa, from below "Slatnik" and "Lajnar" towards the Idrijca river. Bača flows into Idrijca near "Bača pri Modreju". It is certainly one of the best fisheries for fly- fishermen in Slovenia. Along its course it is constantly accompanied and crossed by both the road and railroad. The uppermost three kilometers are breeding waters for the marble trout, with the remainder being fishing waters, which is divided into two sections by the dam in Klavže. The upper part is inhabited by all species of trout, except the rainbow. You will catch beautiful browns and genuine marble trouts. In the lower part rainbows are present and grayling is more common.
O ne fishing licence covers all rivers. You can change your fishing place from Bača to any river during the flyfishing day.
